There are several drastically different locations with a decent amount of track, but what sets it apart is the quality. In addition I think 4's graphics are overall a bit blander and less detailed than Rally's. This really killed a lot of the "random" element for me, leaving the game with just mediocre tracks and the only "random" turn being the transition to the next track piece. Simulation mode is a completely different way of playing DiRT. Gamer mode is DiRT 3 (still different but for the better). At the beginning of the game it asks if you want to play Simulation or Gamer mode. You can continue playing with that experience in DiRT 4. It's not that demanding, but it still requires attention. Has a fair number of rally locations they are handmade, well-designed tracks but there are only like 2 long and 2 short sections for each location so it does get old. There is a barebones "team management" aspect of buying engineers, but it's seriously basic. You buy a car, do rallies, get prize money, use that money to buy more cars, etc. Sim-leaning game that is very light on campaign and progression. Which parts of Dirt 3 do you like the most?
